Open data, free to reuse
Penang State public health facilities list
Penang State Government (Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang)
Open data from the state government, published under a Creative Commons Attribution licence, which allows reuse with credit. We use it for government hospitals and clinics: names, types, addresses, phone numbers, and map locations where the Ministry of Health’s list agrees. Many entries were last updated in 2013 or 2014, so each clinic shows the date of its own entry.

For private GP clinics, we read the details on the clinic’s own website, or its chain’s website. Beside each fact we link the exact page we read, with the date we read it.

Before we list a government hospital or clinic, we check that it still appears as open on this list. We use it to check, and we do not republish it.

Each hospital’s own website
For private and non-profit hospitals, we read the name, address, phone number and website on the hospital’s own site. For every hospital, government ones included, we read on the hospital’s own pages whether its emergency department is open 24 hours, and its emergency number. Beside each fact we link the exact page we read, with the date we read it.

The Malaysian Society for Quality in Health’s own register. We read accreditation and its dates from it, never from a hospital’s website. Every MSQH accreditation date on a hospital page comes from here.
